Projects

Our learning philosophy is focused around giving children hands on opportunities to build, learn and have fun. Here are a few of the projects we have completed!

RAIN COLLECTION SYSTEM

Harmony students completed the design and construction of a rain collection system! We studied the science behind the differences of rain and tap water, and observed the benefits the rain water had on our plants we grow at Harmony. In this project we learned valuable skills in construction, mathematics, English, Spanish and science.

HAMMOCK HANG OUT SPOT

Harmony students expressed a desire to have a quiet hang out spot – so we designed and constructed a hammock area! This is a favorite of the students and parents. The kids practiced their measurement and cutting skills through the design and construction of this project.

CHICKEN COOP EXPANSION

The first quarter of 2024, we designed and constructed a new coop for our Harmony chickens! Our flock outgrew their old space and needed a safe area to roam away from predators. The chickens are one of the students favorite parts of Harmony. Through this project we used mathematics, science, English and Spanish!
